Dale, Here are a few diagrams I got on here a while back. Not sure who's they are, but they are great for learning. As for making the accordion layout, there are of course several ways to do this. What I like to do (in light wind) is lay out the chute behind the machine, straighten the lines out, then quickly push the machine forward so the chute catches air. Then I slowly continue to push the machine forward a little bit, while looking back, I can check all the lines to make sure they are clean. Then stop pushing the machine to let the chute settle back on the ground. If you practice a little, you can get the chute to stack nicely into an accordion position. I like this layout in warm weather, when my engine has already been warmed up, and also when the winds are fairly calm. Otherwise, the wind can pick up the chute and mess up your layout. The accordion will kite up very nicely as well. Insert Disclaimer here: I have a Quantum Advantage and this is what works for me and my chute. :-) Experiment with different techniques until you find what works for you. AND of course, ALWAYS inspect while kiting for clean lines, line overs and fully inflated cells.. THEN go full power and have fun!! Anyone care to enlighten a newbie with a detailed description of how to set up in accordian fashion?
